Issuance of work permits to foreigners and stateless persons to engage in paid employment
Required documents
To obtain a work permit, the employer must submit the following documents:
- application-questionnaire;
- a copy of the passport or other border crossing document of a foreigner and stateless person;
- a notarized copy of the document confirming that the foreigner and the stateless person have the qualifications required to perform the intended work;
- a reference justifying the need to attract a foreigner and a stateless person for the intended job;
if the employer is:
- a legal entity notarized copies of the legal entity's charter and state registration certificate;
- a natural person notarized copies of the document confirming the identity of the natural person and the certificate of registration of the taxpayer issued to the natural person;
- a medical certificate of a foreigner and stateless person not being a carrier of infectious diseases (human immunodeficiency virus infection, hepatitis B and C viruses) approved by the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
State Fee
if it is issued within ten working days or if it is extended:
up to 3 months - 700 manats;
up to 6 months - 900 manats;
up to 1 year – 1, 400 manats.
if it is given within fifteen working days or if it is extended:
up to 3 months - 500 manats;
up to 6 months - 700 manats;
up to 1 year – 1,200 manats.
when it is issued within twenty working days or when it is extended:
up to 3 months - 350 manats;
up to 6 months - 600 manats;
up to 1 year – 1,000 manats.
Note
An employment visa or a business (business) visa is required for obtaining a work permit.
If the state fee determined for issuing a work permit in the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan is not paid within 30 days from the last day of the period determined for considering the application for that permit, that permit is canceled.
This service is provided in all "ASAN service" centers, except Ganja regional "ASAN service" center No. 1.
