President of Guinea-Bissau at “ASAN Service” Center
Within the framework of an official visit to Azerbaijan, a delegation led by President of the Republic of Guinea-Bissau Umaro Sissoco Embaló, became acquainted with the operations of the “ASAN Service” center.
Ulvi Mehdiyev, Chairman of the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, provided the quest with detailed information about ASAN Service Centers established on the initiative of President Ilham Aliyev and the projects implemented in the field of social innovations. He emphasized that the “ASAN Service” model has been successfully implemented in various countries.
The President of the Republic of Guinea-Bissau evaluated “ASAN Service” as a highly significant project. He noted that there is no such concept in his country and emphasized that steps would be taken to implement a similar project I Guinea-Bissau immediately following the visit.
Subsequently, a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in the field of public service delivery was signed between the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Office of the President of the Republic of Guinea-Bissau.
The Memorandum envisions the implementation of the “ASAN Service” model in the Republic of Guinea-Bissau, as well as the sharing of the best practices in public service delivery by the experts from the State Agency.
As a part of the visit, the delegation also became acquainted with the activities of the “INNOLAND” Incubation and Acceleration Center, the Mobile ASAN Service, and the “ASAN Support to Family Business” (ABAD) public legal entity.
