"ABAD" crafts center has started operating at Heydar Aliyev International Airport
A new “ABAD” art center launched at the “Duty Free” zone located at the Heydar Aliyev International Airport, on June 8, within the framework of cooperation between Azerbaijan Airlines and “ABAD” public legal entity.
Should note that, “ABAD” craft center operating at “Duty Free” zone within the Heydar Aliyev International Airport is the second center.
The first such center was established in the territory of the State Historical-Architectural Reserve "Icherisheher" and started operating on March 18.
Taking into account the high interest of tourists traveling to Azerbaijan in decorative-applied folk art samples presented by “ABAD” craft center, there occurred such a need to create a second art center as the next stage.
The center has been designed on a special design and the walls are built with shabaka, and the lighting system is installed.
The center presents food products, which are of great interest to tourists, as well as delicate handicrafts, honey and jams from different regions of Azerbaijan.
All the products presented here are marked by the logo of the artisan, the family entrepreneurs witht the special “ABAD” label. This logotype and "ABAD" label indicate the originality of the product.
At present, more than 4500 art samples with 1479 brand names of 115 families and 10 families of agricultural products (jams, jams, honey) have been put on sale at "ABAD" crafts centers operating in Icherisheher and Heydar Aliyev International Airport.
“ABAD” public legal entity run by the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan was established by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev dated 23 September 2016.
“ABAD” (ASAN Support to Family Business) centers are established to carry out socially oriented projects aimed at ensuring the active participation of the citizens in the social-economic life of the Republic of Azerbaijan, developing small and medium entrepreneurship, raising the employment rate of the population and supporting the establishment of competitive family businesses in the country.
