"National-Religious Tolerance Among Youth, Peacefulness and Implementing the Humanitarian Values Promotion” Program
The "National-Religious Tolerance Among Youth, Peacefulness and Implementing the Humanitarian Values Promotion” Program has been launched jointly by the "ASAN Volunteers" Organization and the State Committee for Religious Associations of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
The event has been opened by a speech by the Chairman of the "ASAN Volunteers" organization Bakhtiyar Islamov, who noted that according to the 2.1.3 article of the State Program "Youth of Azerbaijan in 2017-2021" approved by the Presidential Order on 15 September 2017, there have been being taken certain steps in promoting the values of humanism and peace among young people in Baku and the regions.
The Chairman of the State Committee for Work with Religious Associations of Azerbaijan Mubariz Gurbanli emphasized the importance of national-religious tolerance, peacefulness and humanism values, religious culture in Azerbaijan and evidence of different religions. Mubariz Gurbanli said that the head of the state as in all spheres, as a result of his care for this sphere too, religious values, state and religion relations are at its highest level. At the same time, emphasized that ASAN volunteers and all young people play a great role in promotion of religious tolerance and that the Azerbaijani youth are peace-loving.
At the end, Deputy Chairman of the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ulvi Mehdiyev spoke about the struggle, initiatives and peace of the Azerbaijani youth. Ulvi Mehdiyev informed that patriotic young people have a special role in preventing the loss of Azerbaijan's independence during the war.
Within the framework of the program, covering the capital and regions, there was held a photo exhibition on "Religious tolerance in the eyes of photographers" by young photographers, who were awarded with certificates.
At the end of the event, there was demonstrated the film titled "Testimony" prepared by the State Committee for Work with Religious Associatioons of the Republic of Azerbaijan was demonstrated.
It should be noted that the main objective of the program is to promote one of the state policy of Azerbaijan - religious tolerance, national and spiritual values, as well as the exemplary inter-religious relations existing in our country, tolerance, a long tradition of centuries, mutual respect and cooperation.
